Eva Marie is the youngest child to Italian parents Barry and Josie Nelson. She has three older brothers named Nathan Neal and Nick. The first years of her life were spent in California, specifically Concord. When she was a kid, she aspired to be a professional player of soccer. In 2002, when she was in her final year of high school, she injured her ankle. It was her turn to heal and play soccer again as a forward at Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill California. At Diablo Valley College, she was awarded her associate's degree. Following her Junior College All-American accolades, she was accepted onto Arizona State University. However, her doubts led her to quit football. She then went on to California State University Fullerton where, with a degree in Business Management as well as a minor in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor's of Arts. Her studies were completed in Los Angeles where she began a professional career in modeling, promotional work and acting. She then came across an audition for W.W.E. By chance, and impressing the talent-scouts following a four week tryout. Following this, she moved to Orlando Florida to begin her training in the company's Performance Center.
